Professional Image (Dress Code)

We are in the fashion industry. You are your very own walking, talking advertisement for your business. Build your brand. Your hair, make-up and clothes send a message to your guests. You have decided to become part of the beauty industry and with that comes looking the part.

All Future Professionals are required to adhere to the following dress code while in attendance:

  • All clothing must be clean looking, pleasant smelling, and in good repair.
  • All tops, pants, overalls, and jumpsuits, etc. must be black, grey, white, or blue denim in any combination. **Small patterns/prints are acceptable. **No wording, graphics, large logos, etc.
  • Stomach and lower back must be covered when arms are raised straight above the head. **This is how a staff member will determine if a top is in dress code.
  • No dresses, skirts, shorts, or rompers. **Pants: jeans, trousers, opaque leggings, capris, jumpsuits, overalls, harem pants, cargo pants, and palazzo pants are all acceptable.
  • No strapless shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, or low-cut blouses.
  • No pajamas or sleepwear of any kind.
  • No undergarments should be shown at any time.
  • No gym clothes or athletic wear such as sweatpants, or track pants.
  • Shoes should be clean, comfortable, and in good repair. Color in your shoe choice is fine.
  • No rubber flip flops, athletic slides, or house slippers.
  • Colored accessories including jewelry, scarves, socks, belts, hats, and shoes are allowed.
  • NAME TAG (provided) MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. If the student is unable to locate the permanent name badge within three (3) days, they must purchase another Paul Mitchell The School name tag for $10.00 prior to clocking in.
  • Hair must be clean and styled appropriately prior to arriving at school.

    Future Professionals deemed out of dress code may be sent home for the proper dress code or receive and advisory.
