Textbooks may be purchased from the school or from an independent vendor. If the student plans to purchase their textbooks from an independent vendor, they should inform the admissions’s team prior to signing the enrollment agreement.

COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR COURSE STUDENT TEXTBOOKS AND KITS

Students in the 600 cosmetology instructor course program will only be allowed to use Paul Mitchell technical kits and equipment while enrolled at the School. Students may purchase the Paul Mitchell Technical kit in it's entirety from the school, or they may be purchased independently.  If purchased independently, they must meet the criteria listed on the Student Technical Kit List.  Refer to the catalog kit list.  If the student needs to replace a technical kit or equipment item at any time during his or her enrollment in the school, these items may be purchased through the school or independently.

Students are advised to refrain from loaning any part of their technical kit or textbooks. The school is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen. Published kit lists herein are subject to change. All education apps. will work on an Iphone.  If a student has access to an Iphone, that is compatible with the apps., an Ipad purchase may not be necessary.

Right to Independent Purchase of IPad, Textbooks and Technical Kit:  Any student who desires to independently purchase their IPad, textbook or technical kit from a vendor other than Paul Mitchell The School Arkansas has the right to do so. A student who chooses to do this should notify the school during contracting.

These items are essential to meet the practical and written requirements for Paul Mitchell the School Arkansas as well as the Arkansas State Board of Cosmetology. These items can be purchased directly from Paul Mitchell the School Arkansas at a discounted price, or they can be purchased from other vendors at retail prices. If a student chooses to purchase the Paul Mitchell Student Kit, Textbooks, and iPad with accessories from Paul Mitchell the School Arkansas, the school will charge all student kit supplies in full in Payment Period 1. If the student chooses to purchase the Paul Mitchell Student Kit, Textbooks, and iPad with accessories from other vendors, they will be responsible to purchase all items independently. If student chooses to purchase kit supplies separately, the Textbooks and iPad must be purchased and be available at school no later than 4 weeks from student’s start date.

The remaining supplies of the student kit must be purchased and made available at school no later than 7 weeks from student’s start date. If student qualifies and completes all documentation for school to process student’s Federal Student Aid, Student may use Federal Student Aid to purchase student kit items. School would issue the student a Student Stipend Check in the amount of the students kit supplies for student to go and purchase these items.

As part of tuition expense, Paul Mitchell the School Arkansas will be providing all students the Paul Mitchell Advanced Education Applications for Cutting, Men’s Cutting, Color, Makeup and Skill Cards; Business Fundamentals - Connecting to My Future, and Be Nice or Else eBooks; Paul Mitchell Product Guide Workbook, brochures, and swatch charts; membership to Plugged In; subscription to Master Audio Club (while enrolled); two (2) additional mannequin heads; and a Paul Mitchell the School Arkansas Tee Shirt and Jacket.
